Love Story
Gen and Mitch have been together since they were in high school. "We practically grew up together, explored, and witnessed life together," says Gen.
On their ninth anniversary, at exactly 12 midnight, Mitch went to Gen's house to celebrate the milestone as a couple. After a short chat, Mitch suddenly went down on one knee and asked for Gen's hand in marriage. The simple and heartfelt proposal moved Gen, and she had nothing else to say but a sweet yes.

Wedding Preparations
On their 11th year together, Gen and Mitch tied the knot on November 11, 2011 (11-11-11). Both beach lovers, the couple wanted to celebrate their union by the shore. At the same time, they still wanted to have a traditional church wedding. The couple got both wishes, as they opted to exchange I do's at a church in La Union, and then celebrated their reception at a nearby resort, Thunderbird Poro Point.
Gen and Mitch had a dreamy cliff-side reception, which offered a scenic view of the beach. To complement the Santorini-inspired aesthetics of Thunderbird, the couple went for elegant table centerpieces laced with charming DIY details. The couple's reception was marked with a spectacular fireworks display that guests enjoyed while holding up sparklers. In the end, Gen and Mitch were able to live out their dream wedding.
