Love Story

After each had traveled from one continent to another, Gen and Killian's paths finally crossed in Singapore. Gen shares, "We were introduced to each other by common friends at Ku De Ta, a rooftop bar at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, where we were both working in 2010."

Eventually, Gen and Killian's friendship blossomed to something more meaningful and romantic. Of course, traveling also became a part of their relationship. On a trip to Paris, Killian took advantage of the romantic air of the city and finally proposed to Gen. The couple then moved to Amsterdam, and their preparations for their wedding in the Philippines began.

Wedding Preparations

After tying the knot in Hamburg, Gen and Killian had another celebration in the Philippines, Gen's home country. The couple's big day featured a variety of traditional Filipino details, which gave charm to the affair.

Not only did the groom and the male entourage wear barongs, but the wedding also featured several woodwork and native products. These classic Pinoy accents painted a romantic ambiance and reflected Gen's roots as well.

With the help of their relatives, Gen and Killian were able to entertain their guests in more ways than one. Local games, such as palayok and pabitin, were prepared especially for the couple's friends from abroad.

And as the night came to an end, the couple and their guests all went home with huge smiles on their faces. Gen shares, "The greatest joy is realizing that your wedding day is the beginning of your lives together as husband and wife, and what you share together from that point forward is what's truly important."
