Emma and Abner first met when they were both in their third year in college. After going through their respective class registrations on a hot summer day, they both boarded the same bus and sat beside each other. Throughout the whole bus ride, the two talked and laughed until it was time for them to part ways--but Abner forgot to ask Emma's name. He told himself he would eventually chance upon Emma, whose bespectacled face he was sure he would remember. But little did Abner know that Emma normally wore contact lenses.
A whole semester went by without the two ever getting to see or talk to each other again--until Abner's friend invited him to work out in a gym owned by Emma's friend. There, Abner saw Emma and thought that her face looked familiar. When they finally talked, and he realized that she was the girl he had met. From then on, Abner and Emma slowly got to know each other more and eventually got together.
Both Emma and Abner said that they weren't looking for a relationship when they met--love just decided to come their way one day. When Abner finally decided to propose to Emma, he just knew the time was right as well. The two were hanging out, and when Abner saw the beauty that was before him, that was when he took the ring out, got down on one knee and asked Emma to marry him. That night couldn't have been more bright and beautiful for the two of them.
Emma and Abner's Grecian-inspired 10-10-10 wedding exuded class and beauty through the couple's gold and aquamarine motif. The reception decor set the mood for the affair. Miniature Grecian statues along with bright bundles of flowers dotted the reception tables to give the couple's affair an element of classical divinity.
Since the bride's family owned an events venue, the couple was able to decorate the place as they pleased. Emma and Abner were hands-on with the preparations, making the affair much more personal. To pull off exactly what they wanted for their wedding, Emma did most of the shopping, from the linensto the decorative accents. The bride's family also busied themselves with DIY projects such as making the menu cards, place cards, and souvenir tags. Aside from taking on projects, the couple also ordered special personalized items online in order to make their wedding truly their own.
With all their efforts, Emma and Abner showed that simple, personal, handmade details can make a heavenly dream wedding come to life.
