Gems, aside from being sparkly and pretty, are valuable and rare. The kind of love that was present at Donna and DA's wedding was much like that, so it was only fitting that their wedding colors were gemstone colors, amethyst and turquoise.

Donna and DA were introduced to each other by a common friend at a town fiesta. They became friends, and after several months, they started dating. After Donna had graduated from college, she moved to the States, and the two maintained a long-distance relationship for two years.

When Donna came home, the two went on a trip to Tagaytay. There, DA got down on one knee and proposed to Donna. She said yes, and they were married civilly in the States before having their church wedding back home in the Philippines.

The gemstone colors of Donna and DA's wedding motif reflected just how precious and rare a love like theirs is, the kind of love that can withstand the test of time and distance.
