Love StoryCeleste and Jonathan met on a business trip to Korea, when their relatives, who were both working for the same company, decided to bring them along for a four-day vacation. When they were first introduced at the airport, Jonathan simply gave a smug smile, which immediately turned off Celeste. Because of that, Celeste would simply ignored him whenever he would try to start conversations with her."
The whole time he was trying [and failing] to talk to me, I thought he was super cute. I was honestly flattered by the attention he was giving me. Unfortunately, I just wasn't ready for a disappointment at that time. Until two months later, I received an invitation from him on Facebook. He chatted with me and asked me out on a date. We were inseparable since then," shares Celeste.
Jonathan proposed to her on one of their trips to Hong Kong. While enjoy the beautiful skyline together, Jonathan got down on one knee and took out a velvet box with a ring. Celeste, overwhelmed with emotions, said yes to him over and over again.
Celeste and Jonathan tied the knot in an elegant ceremony in Cebu. Dresses, decor, and accents in red and turquoise set a festive mood to the grand festivity.
To personalize their wedding, the bride customized some of the favors that were handed out to their guests. She shares, "The Tiffany boxes that contained our giveaways for our female sponsors, as well as the quaint brown paper gift bags for our guest giveaways, were all my labor of love."
The celebration featured non-traditional games and activities as well. Instead of having the usual bouquet throwing and garter turnover, the couple handed over a baton to their relative who recently got engaged.
Celeste and Jonathan’s wedding turned out to be a beautiful celebration. The bride says, "We enjoyed every bit of the planning stage. Thankfully, Jonathan and I never had a major fight during the preparation period. What I can advise engaged couples is to start planning as early as possible. Also, it's you and your husband's special day together, so both of you need to participate. The preparations will bring out the best in you on your wedding day."
