Cecille and Wowie both went to Far Eastern University, and they had some common friends. While on their semester break, the two connected online via Friendster. Their common friends then made a way for Cecille and Wowie to meet personally, and eventually, Wowie started courting Cecille. Romance took its course and the two officially became a couple.
On their fourth anniversary, the two made plans for a vacation at Island Cove. While they were having dinner, Wowie asked Cecille to look up at the sky because there were fireworks. Cecille looked up but found no fireworks. However, when she looked down at her plate, she found a small box that contained a ring. "I was so excited that I ended up wearing it by myself!" she shares.
Cecille and Wowie are both based in Singapore, and they were there for the bulk of their wedding preparations. They came home to the Philippines only four days before their wedding, but they were still able to incorporate personal touches into their celebration.
The couple opted to have a fun and laid-back affair at Felicity Patisserie, which was perfect for their intimate party for 40 guests. Aside from having a small guest list, Cecille and Wowie also made their big day exude warmth with their DIY projects. Among their crafts were the invitations, boutonnieres, and escort cards. They chose a happy palette featuring blue and yellow.
While the couple asked their families to help them with coordinating with the Philippine-based suppliers, Cecille and Wowie proudly share that they paid for everything themselves. With their hands-on approach, they were able to follow their budget, and pull off the wedding they had envisioned.
