Love Story

Carmela and Colin first met in Singapore through a common friend. After that first meeting, the two started talking, and realized they had a lot in common. They have been inseparable since then.

The couple would regularly spend their weekends together. Shares Carmela, "Colin and I make it a point to see each other every weekend. One morning when we were together, he said he had a surprise for me. I was giddy because I like his surprises. In the past, he had usually asked me to close my eyes and spread my arms for a package that had always been related to cycling. That time, when I opened my eyes, I started crying. Colin was kneeling in front of me and I saw see tears rolling down his face. He asked me to marry him and I hugged him tight and said, 'Of course.' It was one of the happiest moments of my life and I could never describe such feeling," Carmela narrates.

Wedding Preparations

Carmela and Colin's destination wedding was truly a memorable affair. Apart from being serenaded by the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the couple also enjoyed the company of friends and family who flew in from abroad to take part in the once-in-a-lifetime event.

According to Carmela, they've been very hands on with the planning since day one. She and Colin discussed every detail to ensure that they get the wedding they've dreamt of since they were little. She tells other couples, "Enjoy every bit of the planning.  It's a great start to a great married life.  You will discover a lot of new things about your partner in the process."
