Proposing to Candy for the first time must have been jinxed for Patrick, as Candy started to get insect bites after they spent the evening at an outdoor restaurant. Patrick decided to postpone the proposal until the following week.

The second attempt was so much sweeter--quite literally. Patrick brought Candy to the Tivoli at Mandarin Oriental, where he enclosed the ring in the menu. Candy wasn't in the mood for sweets that night, but after much cajoling, she finally opened the menu and spotted the engagement ring.

A candy-themed wedding was an almost automatic choice for the couple. They incorporated a lot of candy treats in the d├ęcor and food--apt for a sweet beginning.
