Couple Anna and Karl wanted a fun wedding that was timeless and elegant. They opted to have their wedding ceremony and reception outdoors, and the garden setting gave their celebration a romantic air.
Anna and Karl met at the time when text messaging was still new. Anna's cousin gave Karl her number, and the two forged a friendship by constantly texting and calling each other. Anna was studying in Manila Central University then. Later on, her parents encouraged her to transfer to Adventist University of the Philippines in Cavite--which, coincidentally, was Karl's school.
Karl would help Anna out with her schoolwork, and they grew closer. They eventually confessed their feelings for each other, and that was the start of their romantic relationship. Five years later, Karl surprised Anna with a proposal as they celebrated their anniversary in Tagaytay.
Anna and Karl had a year to plan their wedding. The couple initially wanted a black and pink motif for their wedding, but decided against upon their parents' suggestions. Instead, they opted to have gray and pink as their motif for the wedding ceremony. As a compromise, they got to dress up their reception venue in black and pink.
The couple chose Fernbrook Gardens as their ceremony and reception venue. The garden setting provided a charming and fun ambiance for the celebration. The wedding channeled an elegant air as damask patterns were used in most of the wedding details, like their invitations, ceremony accessories, souvenirs, and even their wedding cake.
Despite having a year to prepare for the affair, the couple still experienced some hitches on the big day. "We encountered some minor problems , [but] we just let them go and enjoyed [our] special day," the bride shares. The couple's undaunted spirit allowed them to appreciate all the beautiful things about their wedding.
