Anna and John were good friends back in highschool, as they had lots of common interests. They wound constantly hang out together, but they didn't see each other as often when they went to college. John would visit Anna at home once in a while, but they just remained friends as Anna was in a relationship then.
Years later, Anna and a friend planned to go to Monumento to buy DVDs. She remembered that John lives nearby, and so she texted him, and they met up. The two got to relive the old times as they talked about movies and each other's lives.
Eventually, Anna and John grew closer, and finally became a couple. When time came that John wanted to pop the question, the couple's favorite restaurant was packed. Anna and John kept walking around the mall, until John found the perfect isolated spot. There, he brought out a box he specially made for Anna, and he presented her with an engagement ring.
Anna and John knew that they didn't want their wedding to be too formal, and so they decided to keep their affair laid-back with handcrafted details. The couple's chosen palette, which featured pastels, also complemented the casual feel of the celebration.
The couple busied themselves with DIY projects, which comprised mostly of papercrafts of famous landmarks around the world. The bride also made boutonnieres for the groom's entourage.
Anna and John pulled off the wedding they had envisioned, and they say that following their instincts paid off. "If you don't want something, don't include it. Also, book the best suppliers you can find to make your wedding jitters go away," shares the bride.
