Nev conspired with two of his friends to surprise Andy with his proposal. Andy shares, "Nev rented Lemuria Restaurant for the whole night; it was really romantic. He had two of our closest guy friends do the coordination while we were out of town."
Andy didn't suspect a thing as they drove to the restaurant. "On the way back to Manila, I was under the impression that we'll be having a team dinner with our colleagues. Little did I know, Nev planned a dinner for two, to be topped off by his proposal," she continues.
Wedding PreparationsTo achieve their dream wedding, Andy and Ned worked hand-in-hand with their suppliers to make sure that everything turned out well. The two's friends and family also lent their help to finish the decorative pieces for the reception.
According to Andy, they raided thrift shops and specialty stores in search of unique details that would complement their French country theme. She shares, "Weekends leading to the wedding were mostly spent on shopping, painting, piecing together wooden craters and escort card holders, creating paper flowers, pompoms, makeshift chandeliers, mustaches-on-a-stick, and plenty of other decor."
While preparing for their special day, Andy and Nev also got to strengthen their relationships with their loved ones. Although crafting their details was stressful and tiring, it brought them and their loved ones closer together. Andy relays, "Preparing for a wedding is hard work especially when you have a lot of DIY projects--so enlist as much help you can get, and enjoy and relish every single day of preparation. You'll be surprised on how much everyone is willing to help out in any way they can."
