Love Story
Alison and JB's 11-year relationship started when they were both high school freshmen. They met through their school's mIRC chat room, and have been inseparable since then. "We have been each other's Sophomore Nights, Prom and Graduation Ball dates!" shares Alison. And after more than a decade of being together, JB asked Alison to be his constant date forever.
JB surprised Alison with the proposal with the help of their family and friends. He asked them to convince Alison to plan a surprise birthday party for him. "I spent weeks planning a birthday party for him, not knowing the surprise was for me and that all our friends were in cahoots with him. Needless to say, I was very surprised and very angry because I felt that I've been had," the bride recalls. So when JB knelt down and popped the question, Alison cursed first before replying with a sweet yes.

Wedding Preparations
Alison and JB's young and refreshing styles took center stage as they tied the knot in Tagaytay with a modern wedding. The couple incorporated a unique color motif comprised of plum, chocolate brown, lime green, and cream into their January affair. The couple did away with some wedding traditions such as wearing something old, new, borrowed, and blue, having young entourage members, and doing the bouquet and garter toss. While they had the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra play at their wedding, the couple's play list consisted of their favorite rock songs.
The couple further personalized their wedding by including two videos they made themselves in their reception program. Aside from the same-day-edit videos of Pat Dy and Jason Magbanua, the couple showed their guests a prenup video and a tribute video. "Instead of doing the usual the-couple-through-the-years-slideshow, we shot a short love story of sorts. It was such a production from the props, hair and make-up! In lieu of a boring speech and a corny slide show, we shot a second video as a tribute for our parents," shares the bride.
By adding unusual touches to their wedding, Alison and JB were able to achieve what they truly wanted for their special day.
