Love Story
If it weren't for the faith of two of Aileen and Edward's friends that they were meant for each other, the two wouldn't have met. At a charity ball in 2005, a common friend of Aileen and Edward introduced them to each other. She believed that Edward was "the one" for Aileen. A year later, another common friend asked for Aileen's number and then gave it to Edward, without knowing that the two have already been introduced. She, too, believed that they were meant for each other. And on November 6, 2006, Edward called Aileen--they forged a friendship which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. After two years as a couple, Aileen and Edward got engaged and proved their friends right.

Wedding Preparations
To say that Aileen and Edward's wedding was elegant may be quite an understatement. Their purple and champagne gold affair was held at two grandiose structures in San Francisco, California: the St. Ignatius Cathedral and the San Francisco City Hall. Their venues both served as perfect backdrops for their elaborate wedding, which was marked with sophisticated Filipiniana-inspired wedding attire and lush, romantic décor. The bride was garbed in a gown masterpiece by the legendary Oskar Peralta (the first Filipino designer to be featured by Vogue). Her entourage members were equally classy and stylish in their modern ternos, while the groom and his groomsmen donned traditional barongs.
At the reception, the couple livened up the formal September affair with a surprise song performance. Aileen and Edward serenaded their guests with their version of "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" as they descended the San Francisco City Hall's grand staircase. They then cruised to a modern waltz number with "The Last Time I'll Fall In Love" on the background. The couple's special night was capped off with a ballet performance from the bride's sister and a special song number from two of the couple's friends.
