Michell and Patrick knew that while planning and wedding can sometimes be stressful, it was up to them to make the process fun. Among the steps they took to enjoy the days leading to their trip down the aisle was to have a colorful prenuptial shoot. "The concept is more of a refreshing take on the usual retro vintage feel that we usually see. [The photos] bring us to an era where life seemed to be taken in strides, and [people] just lived carefree lives," shares Michell.
With their photographer Jervy Santiago and team of stylists from Visionary Photography Hub, the couple embarked on a Marie Antoinette-inspired photo session. "The colors were patterned after Marie Antoinette's era: powder blue, lilac, pink, mostly soft spring hues or yummy cake colors," Michell says. The delectable color palette provided a nice contrast to chosen shoot location, the rustic Levely Manor in Lipa, Batangas.
Because their shoot concept was elaborate, Michell and Patrick exerted extra effort in preparing the props for their prenuptial session. Says Michell, "It's good for the couple to personally source some of the items for the shoot--it's not only a good bonding experience, but at least in the future when you look back, you'll be proud that you had some participation in the preparation of the shoot."
