Love Story

Joey's proposal was, according to Ericka, one of the sweetest things that had happened to her. While on vacation in Batangas, Joey surprised her with an intimate proposal by the beach.

Ericka shares, "I thought we were going to have a usual buffet dinner. Turns out, Joey planned a romantic candle-lit dinner by the beach." The night became even more romantic as the two were serenaded with the song Close to You.

After their scrumptious dinner, Joey knelt down, and asked Ericka to marry him. "I paused for a while- to catch my breath, and then I said ‘yes!' We came back to Manila officially engaged," the bride says.

Wedding Preparations

Ericka and Joey wanted their wedding to be simply elegant to make their romantic affair one of a kind. The bride also created DIY projects for their wedding ceremony. "To match our wedding's motif, I used gray and purple lace to [decorate] our candle holders and matrimony candles. Also, I crafted our invitation sealers," the bride says.

On planning a wedding, the bride shares, "Hire reliable and trusted suppliers because they will make or break the wedding. Also, it's good to plan ahead of time to reduce the stress while preparing." Overall, the couple's special day became unforgettable because they were able to celebrate their love while showcasing their charming personalities.
