When it comes to a wedding, there are often a few non-negotiables a bride (or groom) has to have on their special day. While that list would most likely include getting to say their personal vows or having a family member or two present, this couple clearly had their priorities in order. Their important can’t-do-without on their nuptials? Their two adorable Chow Chows, of course!

Before Toni Dionisio and Doni Dioniso said I do at the St. Alphonsus Ligouri Church, they had to make sure their beloved dogs Churro and Toffee saw witness to the special occasion. Naturally, they flew both pets all the way from the U.S., where the couple is originally based.  

“Moments before walking down the aisle. [I] needed my boys beside me,” Toni wrote in a post from Churro and Toffee’s Instagram page (yes, the dogs are actually Insta-famous).

In an interview with Preview, Toni says she and her husband have had the pair of Chow Chows for almost four years now. “Like what I tell many people, they are our kids and they are family. I really couldn’t imagine not having them there at our wedding,” she explains. 

In fact, both dogs were even present for Doni's momentous proposal:

The bride also revealed that Churro and Toffee had been poised to be their ring bearers for the wedding. Unfortunately, they couldn’t push through with their plan since the church did not allow it.

Either way, we’re sure Churro and Toffee had the best time watching their mom and dad finally tie the knot!
