Deceptively durable despite its airy appearance, tulle is one of the most popular fabrics for wedding gowns. Named after the city in France where it is believed to have first been made, tulle is often used for veils and ballet dresses. It is often used to puff out skirts, and can give a dress a whimsical, ethereal look.

Tulle is great for wedding gowns because not only is it pretty and sturdy, it is also lightweight and can be used to create a stiff bell shape for skirts. Plus, it can make your gown look like it was made for a celestial being. Several of our real brides' wedding gowns were made of tulle, and the gallery below showcases these lovely creations.
