Some Filipinos try to complete the series of simbang gabi for Christmas because they believe that doing so can grant their wish. For Tina and Mark, it was their faith and love that led them to believe that wishes do come true.

In their seven-year relationship, the couple celebrated some traditions--among those was attending the dawn masses at churches in Paranaque and Alabang during the Christmas season.

One year, Mark brought Tina to Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Tagaytay to attend the last night of the simbang gabi. Afterwards, they had breakfast at Antonio's. As they were waiting for dessert, Mark found the perfect opportunity to propose, and so he went down on one knee and told Tina how he'd love to make her happy for the rest of their lives. Soon after that memorable breakfast, Tina and Mark realized that they were the answers to each other's prayers.
