Love Story

Janel and Pau have known one another since grade school. Janel shares, "We had common friends but we did not belong to the same clique. In high school, his impressions of me were geeky and suplada, while I thought of him as an arrogant playboy. Despite our differences, he courted me."

Janel and Pau dated for 10 years before deciding to tie the knot. "I was conniving with Pau's mom and elder brother for a surprise party for him. We tried our best to keep him from going home from where the party was to be held. Little did I know, the surprise was for me. He proposed to me in front of our loved ones, with fireworks," shares Janel.

Wedding Preparations

Janel and Pau celebrated their big day at The Clearwater House in Batangas. The lovely affair was laced with rustic and vintage-inspired details in sea foam green, mint, and salmon. The bridesmaids wore modern chiffon dresses in different shades of green, while the groomsmen put on sleek suits in dark gray.

Apart from making their program, the couple personalized several other details for the wedding. Some of their projects were customized signage, match boxes, pens, and banners.

The unique program kept the energy alive at the affair. Janel and Pau's friends and family participated in the games, which they prepared especially for the guests. Janel relays, "Planning a wedding was not easy. We never thought it would be difficult to source suppliers since there are many of them in the industry. We were heartbroken when we weren't able to book our first choice, but then God's plan fell into place. Our wedding day happened as we had envisioned it--maybe even better. "
