A good photographer knows how to create appealing images, but a great photographer, on the other hand, captures fleeting moments with perfect timing. Blufish Photography, who belongs to the latter, offers wedding documentation like no other. Their photos are a testament to their gift and passion for photography.
Professional photographer Ryan Raquino, owner of Blufish Photography, ventured into the business at an early age. What started out as a pasttime turned out to his true calling in life. He shares, "Taking pictures was just one of my hobbies before. I often joined my friends during weekends for photo shoots. In 2010, I joined a contest and won in two categories."
After realizing his gift for composition, Ryan decided to take basic and advanced photography lessons to drive him further in his career. After which, he gave wedding photography a try. "I started shooting weddings as a backup photographer, and then I started shooting on my own in 2011. I immediately fell in love with weddings. I like how every wedding unfolds with different love stories of couples."
What sets Ryan apart from other photographers, aside from owning the best equipment available, is his effort in establishing rapport with the engaged couple. He takes time to get to know the couple personally, so they all can both be comfortable with each other during photo shoots. In addition, Ryan also welcomes requests or suggestions from the couple in terms of the theme and art direction.
By attending workshops here and abroad, Ryan gets to learn new photography techniques and styles. He develops his own style by embracing the latest trends, and adding his own twist.
In the future, Ryan also aims to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of photographers. He says, "I wish to train apprentices in the years to come to develop a solid team of professionals so we can accommodate more weddings."
