It came as no surprise that Coleen Garcia stayed true to her minimalist approach to beauty for her wedding. The actress opted for simple, uncomplicated looks that photographed flawlessly under the Balesin Island sun.
Preview got in touch with her glam team before the wedding, catching all the details on her hair and makeup:
"We veered away from the usual bridal look and kept it very very simple," Pong Niu, Coleen's makeup artist, told us. "[We made] very minimal use of everything, because less is really more."
According to Pong, she applied a small amount of the Light Wonder Foundation from Charlotte Tilbury on Coleen's skin for a sheer yet luminous finish. She then used MAC's Mineralize Blushes in Dainty and Petal Power (P1,750, SM Makati) on the actress' cheeks for a sun-kissed flush. Finally, to create the perfect nude pout, she combined the shades First Time and Indian Rose from Tom Ford (P2,820, Rustan's Makati).
For her hair, hairstylist Renz Pangilinan gathered the bride's locks in a sleek updo and neatly parted it in the middle. "I wanted it to be timeless and classic," he says.
Coleen also wore close to no makeup when she and Billy welcomed their guests to their all-white themed cocktail party. The then-bride-to-be made her appearance in a ponytail with textured ends, while her bangs were brushed away from her face. "We thought full bangs would be too much, so I decided to just let it fall on the sides," Renz explains. Her makeup was minimal yet polished, just like on her big day!
Definitely great tips for future brides!
