There are two events that the bride spends much time preparing for: the wedding and the honeymoon. By the time the big day rolls in, you surely want to be your most beautiful and most confident self. To help you look and feel your best for the wedding and the honeymoon, check out our bridal beauty plan below.

6 months before

  • Embark on a fitness regimen.
Consult your doctor before embarking on a fitness regimen. When you get the go signal, commit to exercise and eat healthy.
  • Start addressing skin concerns.
Clear skin is a great canvas for makeup. Start consultations with a dermatologist to address any skin concerns like breakouts or discoloration. Schedule monthly facials, too.
  • Try out new products.
If you're planning to try out new products for the skin or hair, now's the best time to do so. You'll have enough time to deal with any allergies just in case.

3-4 months before

  • Have your trial hair and makeup session.
Having a trial session would help you visualize what your look will be on the big day. Consult your stylist to determine if you'll need to cut or color your hair for the wedding.
  • Have eyebrows shaped.
If it's your first time to have your eyebrows shaped, have your eyebrows done in a reputable salon. Remember to do regular touch-ups.
  • Scrub and moisturize feet.
Your feet might take a beating with all your errands for the big day. Scrub regularly to keep feet soft. Slather on lotion and wear socks at night to lock in moisture.

2 months before

  • Visit your dentist.
Have your teeth cleaned, and even whitened. You'll be doing lots of smiling for the wedding, so you want to flash a perfect set of teeth.

4 weeks before

  • Lighten the bikini area.
Use a gentle product like Lactacyd White Intimate, which effectively cleanses and safely whitens the bikini area. Making this a part of your regimen will allow you to exude confidence for the wedding and the honeymoon as well. With a fairer bikini area, your apprehensions about wearing sexy lingerie or bikinis are eased.

1 week before

  • Keep hydrated.
Flush out toxins by drinking lots of water. Avoid salty food to keep yourself from feeling bloated.
  • Dehair.
Facial and body hair won't sit well with your bridal look. Whether you'll wax or shave, give yourself enough time to recover from any mishaps.
  • Go to the spa.
Stress might take a toll, so treat yourself to a trip to the spa. Unwind and let go of any worries. Put yourself in a sunny disposition--you'll glow from within when you're happy.

1 day before

  • Get a manicure and pedicure.
Gather your bridesmaids for a mani-pedi session. Get your hands and feet pretty by picking a flattering nail polish shade like light pink or peach.
  • Sleep early.
The excitement might be too much to handle, but commit to sleep early on the night before your wedding. Think happy thoughts and get your beauty sleep.
