New Normal Wedding Guidelines in the Philippines 2021
According to Adora, the city adheres to the IATF guidelines for mass gatherings, which can be broken down into the following. During ECQ/MECQ, weddings are prohibited. While during GCQ, weddings are allowed but only up to 30% of the venue capacity. Likewise, weddings are allowed during MGCQ, but only up to 50% of the venue capacity.

Things to Remember When Booking a Wedding Venue in Antipolo
Choosing the right venue can be pretty tricky. However, here are a few reminders from Adora for couples looking to wed in Antipolo or any location in general in these uncertain times.
Have a specific date in mind
Is it a weekday or weekend event? Daytime or nighttime? Would it fall on a holiday? Rates vary depending on these factors. You might also have to book earlier should your chosen date and time falls on what they usually refer to as a “hot date.”
Determine your budget
How much are you willing to spend? Bear in mind that there would likely be added expenses on top of the venue rental cost, such as security bond, inclusions, and add ons.
Consider the venue capacity
Make sure you check your desired location’s capacity for MGCQ, GCQ, and MECQ/ECQ. “Kasi kahit sabihin natin na gusto nila etong venue pero di naman pala kaya ng capacity para mag-hold ng wedding nila, so sayang rin,” Adora said. She also encourages couples to have a backup plan, holding their wedding in their desired venue falls through.
Check the health and safety protocol requirements
Different venues have different requirements, so make sure to double-check. “Mayroong mga venues, like sa mga upcoming events namin, na nirerequire na talaga nila yung vaccination card. Ngayon medyo naghihigpit na talaga yung mga venues sa vaccination card, at least vaccinated na talaga lahat ng guests. So kailangan macheck nila yun, kasi hindi naman natin mapipilit lahat ng guests natin na [dapat] may vaccination.”
Pay attention to the logistics
Is the place easily accessible to guests? Would the suppliers encounter any difficulty setting up in the venue? Would the parking be enough to accommodate the vehicles of the guests? Those are some of the things you should consider.
