tipid_tips_extra.jpgWe've been sharing our favorite tipid tips (and still do!) to help you cut down on expenses and increase your savings at home and at work pretty regularly, but we're sure you have your own brand of budgeting know-how you'd like to share with your fellow FNites!

Do you bring your own baon to work to minimize lunch breaks at fast food chains? Do you take the MRT instead of hailing a taxi to lessen your commuting expenses? Perhaps you use leftovers creatively for other tasty dishes so that nothing on the dinner table goes to waste, or maybe you make sure the fridge is never overloaded to save electricity. Whether it's for work or for your household, share your advice with us here on FN, and you may just inspire a feature!

For example, last month, FNite @ChristineEverth shared this tip with us: "Stay at home. No huge expenses there." We took her advice--and came up with 40 ideas on how to while away the hours without leaving the house.

I give myself a food and transpo budget per day. If I exceed it on one day, I subtract the excess from the next few days.

I have fix amount of savings per salary. It is higher than my expenses. I always practice a simple way of living and make sure that I spend lower than my salary.

Whenever you go to grocery, make sure that you are not hungry because it affects your attitude to buy more 'though things are not in the list.

Always remember that a peso will not be full without the centavo. In a sense, compare prices, do not ignore the difference in centavos because those little centavos that you ignore can be accumulated. It can be a savings if you try to compute it in a months' duration.
