The weekend

Mar 18, 2008 by FN Blogger Tisha Alvarez

My former boss sent us some sort of illustration before, showing the difference between young workers and old workers–the young ones would look haggard on Monday, progressively looking better as the week wore on. For the old ones, the opposite was true.

At least I know that I’m still part of the young group! I am still recovering from my weekend, wherein a lack of sleep seemed to be the theme. Friday night, I met up with friends because Marie, a high school classmate, was in town from the US. The next morning, I had to go to work, and my schedule was so delayed that all my plans got pushed back a couple of hours.

I got to play disc, and felt the effects of not working out for a week–I was so slow, and I had a hard time catching my breath! Ugh. Afterwards, I met up with H at the Fort, where his friends were celebrating their birthdays. BFF Ching met up with me and we headed to Piedra, where we got to catch up with a fellow former cheerdancer whom we hadn’t seen in ages. A really good night, if only I didn’t have to get up before 7:00 a.m. for work!

On Sunday, there was work and errands and children’s parties to attend. It would’ve been awesome to just catch up on sleep, but the day was too packed. So here I am, still all zombie-like. I am so looking forward to four days of rest!
