Ever dreamt of being paid to go on vacation? An Australian state can actually make this a reality by offering a hefty salary to someone who can stay on a beautiful island for six months.

Queensland will pay 150,000 Australian dollars (105,000 USD) plus airfare to whoever bags the job as island caretaker of Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef. The job description includes strolling on the island's fine white sand, snorkeling, and reporting these activities to a global audience through blogs, photos, and video diaries, according to AFP.
The package also includes a three-bedroom beach home equipped with a pool and golf buggy. The winning applicant only has to be a good swimmer, excellent communicator, and fluent in English.
Sounds too good to be true? Queensland Tourism Minister Desley Boyle already confirmed the authenticity of this job offer. "This is a legitimate job which is open to anyone and everyone," she said. "I think the biggest risk will be that the successful candidate won't want to go home at the end of six months."
