Braving heavy traffic on Mondays or being stuck in an office cubicle for nine hours a day, five days a week--neither of these is a dilemma for people who work from home. Thanks to the wonders of Internet technology and computers, people these days can now work in a home setting—sometimes in the comfort of their pajamas or sweat pants. If this sounds like the kind of work environment you'd enjoy, why not consider it? There are a number of opportunities out there for enterprising self-starters who can work with little or no supervision and/or are willing to be paid on a per-project basis.

To give you an idea of what work-from-home career options are out there, here’s a list of 10 jobs you may want to look into.

One warning though: beware of scam online offers. Do a background check of the company or individual you plan to work for. If the company you’re applying for requires you to pay upfront or registration fees, chances are the company may be running a scam. Legitimate companies do not ask their applicants to pay any fees, so take note of this before you start browsing online for job offers.
