Budget tips from Dennis Trillo

Aug 18, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

dennis_tips.jpgTwo weeks ago, we learned that saving little bills can go a long way, especially if you keep these little savings untouched. Dennis Trillo, one of our favorite male actors, thinks along the same lines when asked for some budget tips. He says that grouping coins would help control your spending habits. We saw that just like everyone else, he's pretty mindful of how he spends his money. Check out some tipid tips he shared with us.

1. Group your small coins and bills for easy budgeting.
"I have an alkansya where I drop all my tens, fives, and one peso coins. Iniipon at kinukumpol ko sila para pwedeng gamitin sa araw-araw na gastusin--for instance, when I want food deliveries. That way, I can watch what I spend and I keep bigger bills.”

2. Bike when you can.
"'Pag malapit lang ang pupuntahan, kunwari from a GMA studio to New Manila, I just bike and leave my car in GMA’s parking area. Tipid sa gas!"

3. Check out restaurants and eateries by the road.
"Sa biking trips ko, naka-discover ako ng maliliit na eatery sa daan. For P65, may meal ka na, with drinks pa! They're everywhere--I eat a lot in eateries in San Mateo, meron din nga malapit sa Rockwell. You really just have to find and discover them.”
