After her recent Emmy win and impressive spoofs of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock star and producer Tina Fey is now getting offers as high as $6 million for her own tell-all book.
According to the New York Post column by Keith J. Kelly, publishers have been offering Tina opportunities to write her own book for years, but she has never met up with any of them because of her busy schedule.
Tina, who broke into the entertainment industry by writing for Saturday Night Live, eventually became the show's first female head writer in 1999, a fact she downplays by saying that there have not been many head writers . Yet milestones of her career have proven that the honor wasn't a fluke.
In 2004, Tina wrote and starred in Mean Girls, which stars Lindsay Lohan. Time magazine also chose Tina as one of 100 People Who Shape Our World in 2007. Shortly after her last season for Saturday Night Live, Fey developed 30 Rock, her own sitcom for NBC's fall 2006 schedule, which was reportedly based on her experience as a writer for Saturday Night Live. Now on its second season, the show continues to reap critical success and major awards, most recent of which is its Emmy nod this year.
So far, there hasn't been word regarding the book from Tina herself. However, according to the New York Post, if she finally agrees and gets a book published, it will be nonfiction humor instead of a memoir.
