Help others and save the planet in style

Jun 18, 2009 by FN's Shar Bareng

rajoecobag.jpgUsing eco bags when going on shopping trips does a lot for the environment. But did you know it could help create jobs, too?

Fashion designer Rajo Laurel's Rags 2 Riches foundation, for example, supports at least 4,000 Payatas residents through the Enviro-Chic Shopping Bag for Eastwood Mall. Proceeds from these bags (P600 each) are also donated to the National Red Cross.

Made of recycled canvas with macramé handles, the reusable bag is a trendy pro-Earth statement that never goes out of style. It's a fasyon reason to ditch plastic and paper bags.

If you're thinking of ways to help the environment and give back to the needy, getting this Eco bag may be a good way to start.
