Do you have a lucky color?

Feb 23, 2009 by FN's Shar Bareng

luckycolor.jpgSome people believe that certain colors can bring good results to every aspect of their lives--be it career, business, or even love. For Marilyn "Malyn" Perez-Reyes, violet is the key to success.

In a report by Inquirer, this businesswoman from Batangas showed how the color brought luck to her catering business, grocery store, piggery, and five-door apartment.

Already a fan of violet since she was a child, Malyn consulted a Feng Shui expert about using violet for her business and was advised to pair it with green. Sure enough, Malyn made sure that tables and chairs for her first catering business in 1997 were all painted violet. The striking color appeared to attract customers, who even nicknamed her "Madam Violet."

In 2002, Malyn built a piggery using her earnings from the catering business. 2006 saw Malyn and her husband opening a grocery store and apartment much later. Her businesses continue to flourish; in fact her catering business accommodates at least 12 services a day.

While the success of any enterprise depends mainly on the skills and money sense of any owner, some of us can't help but cling to our beliefs and superstitions. These "money quirks" may lack scientific explanation, but as long as they do not pose any harm against businesses, why not try them, too?

Do you believe that color has anything to do with luck? Let us know what you think.
