road_rage_quiz_inside.jpgPeople react differently to stress depending on their personalities. Incidents that inspire road rage, especially in Metro Manila, are no exception. Here's a quick quiz to find out your road rage personality and how you deal with it positively and in a way that won't get you into trouble!

1 .) Which car movie did you enjoy the most?
  1. The Italian Job--I liked the careful planning and execution.
  2. The Fast and the Furious--they were action-packed and the cars just roared!
  3. Herbie: Fully Loaded--romance, racing, plus a cute, cute car spells fun, fun, fun!
  4. Cars--it was fun and cheerful and even had a bit of romance tossed into the plot.
2 .) You're backing out with the help of a security guard or parking attendant, and a lapse in his judgment almost has you clipping another car. What would you do?
  1. I'd pull out then leave without a tip, maybe fast enough that he has to jump back.
  2. I'd roll down my window and call him out on his mistake. And, of course, he doesn't get a tip.
  3. I'd complain about the poor service to whoever's in the car with me, but I'd still tip the guy.
  4. Cuss him out from the safety of my car, grudgingly hand him a small tip, then drive away, still grumbling.
3 .) In your circle of friends, you're known as:
  1. The planner--I don't go to outings or gatherings without an itinerary and a plan B.
  2. The haggler--I like talking to people, and when my friends need good deals, I'm their girl.
  3. The princess--I'm bad at planning, so I let others do the dirty work.
  4. The blabbermouth--I never run out of quips, one-liners, and anecdotes!
4 .) At the office, you're known as:
  1. The prankster. But everyone knows that I do it all in good fun!
  2. I'm usually the one my co-workers rely on to give the presentations because I'm comfortable in front of an audience.
  3. The quiet type--I sit by myself and work on my tasks so that I don't bother people.
  4. I'm the friendly type since I'm talkative. I’m also the one who usually hears the latest gossip first!
5 .) You're in your boyfriend's car, headed for a romantic night out, when another car rudely cuts him off. What do you do?
  1. Help him scheme to get ahead of the offending car then cut it off to give it a dose of its own medicine.
  2. Get him to speed up and drive alongside the other car while you roll down your window and hurl abuse at the other driver.
  3. Wonder aloud about the rudeness of some drivers and talk about how this kind of behavior is totally unsafe.
  4. Swear, then rant to your boyfriend about what a horrible driver the guy (or woman) in the other car is.
6 .) You and your barkada are on a road trip, but your convoy is horribly slow, and you're stuck right in the middle of it. What do you do?
  1. Conspire to take the lead when you pull out of the next rest stop. Maybe invite the navigator to ride with you so everyone has to follow.
  2. Drive up beside the lead car, roll down your window, and try to convince the other driver to let you take the lead.
  3. Repeatedly tell the others in the car with you that you hope you'll get to your destination on time despite the slow pace.
  4. Make "lola driver" jokes about the driver of the lead car and play the "Are we there yet?" game.
7 .) Speaking of road trips, what's your ideal vacation like?
  1. Well-planned. I like to prepare everything beforehand to minimize the possibility of unforeseen hassles.
  2. Crowded and peppered with new friends and acquaintances. I like busy and energetic places that are full of people.
  3. I'd go for a staycation. Nothing can go wrong at home, and I don't really like problematic logistics anyway.
  4. It'd have to be a family or barkada affair. We can catch up, share stories, and talk all night.
8 .) You've been wandering the parking lot for a spot and when you finally find one, someone else suddenly steals it! What do you do next?
  1. It's okay--I'll scratch their car later. Payback can be harsh, but parking spot thieves deserve what they get.
  2. Get down and tell them to move their car because I saw that spot first!
  3. Find another spot. At least I have an excuse for being late.
  4. Scream at the top of my lungs while in the car and throw them dagger looks as I pass by. Nothing is sacred anymore!
9 .) What tunes do you like to listen to when you're on the road?
  1. House or trance--a lot of people find it odd, but it relaxes me.
  2. Good old rock and roll--nothing gets me going like a heart-pounding drum or guitar solo.
  3. Easy listening favorites--I like songs I can sing along to.
  4. Hip-Hop--urban beats perfect for urban driving.
10 .) Which of these vehicles is (or comes close to being) your dream car?
  1. A Hummer--it's big and bold and people will think twice about messing with me on the road.
  2. A Porsche--it's fast, powerful, and the ultimate urban road machine.
  3. A Volvo--it's dependable, one of the safest car brands in the world.
  4. A Mercedez Benz--it's an unassuming car that packs a lot pf power features.
