Get creative and resourceful on your centerpiece. For flowers, it's still best to go to Dangwa in Manila instead of florists in malls. Or why not pick flowers from your own garden, if you have one? If you don't have that many flowers to work with, cut the blossoms off the stem and let them float in bowls of water. You can also use pretty candles you might have kept and still haven't used as centerpieces. Or try serving breadsticks or small fruits like grapes arranged well in a little plate or bowl and placed at the center of each table for guests to eventually nibble on.
