The best kept secret

I often think that those who cannot see the beauty of the Philippines are blind. Our country is a real gem—and it's not only the destinations that make it so but also the people.

While it's not as prominent as Thailand and Singapore in terms of tourism, I somehow feel that this only adds to the allure of the Philippines. Only those who are truly in the know are worthy of seeing its beauty.

I was excited to find out that one of the few true global nomads, Laurent Vernhes, believes that the more exotic a place, the better it is--which he discusses in his entry as a guest blogger for the New York Times.
