Just what is a blog? The word “blog” is actually a contraction of the term “Web log.” It’s an online journal that focuses on a specific topic, whether it’s food or fashion, travel or technology.
Actually, just about anything that strikes the fancy of the blogger or the person who authors and maintains the blog is possible. A blog usually consists of text, photos, and other forms of multimedia like videos or flash images. “Blog” can also be used as a verb; to blog means to add content or make new entries for the blog site.
With the advent of high-speed Internet access and affordable computers, more and more people are turning to online means of earning a living. Some do it full-time; others do it on the side. Some sell things on the Internet; others answer online surveys for a fee. And then there are the brave who quit their day jobs and just blog.
