After the boom of 9-inch netbooks, we thought computers can't get any smaller. That is, until Sony VAIO P proved us wrong.About the size of a business envelope and roughly as thin as a cell phone, the VAIO P hardly looks and feels like a notebook. This 8-inch computer weighs just 594g with a solid-state disk drive (SSD) or 620g if you opt for a hard drive (HDD). They weren't kidding when they said you could easily slip this into your pocket or handbag. VAIO P's glossy finish and flashy colors (garnet red, olivine green, obsidian black, and crystal white) make it a savvy gadget for fashionistas, too.
With a high screen resolution of 1600px x 768px, VAIO P boasts of a wide display that enables users to view two full web pages side by side. If you’re not used to tiny keyboards, however, you might have to practice first on VAIO P's aluminum keyboard.
VAIO P runs on Windows Vista and comes with a built-in webcam, headphones, wireless LAN, and Bluetooth.
Price starts at P49,999, depending on the specs. It will be sold beginning February 25, but you can pre-order your VAIO P by calling (02) 878-7600 or 0917-8077669. For more information, email info@sph.sony.com or log on to www.sony.com.ph/vaiop.
