One Love

Jun 28, 2008 by FN Blogger Kissa Castañeda

Luxury cannot be measured by the number of Goyard bags or Patek watches that one owns. Its real form is in the simple things--having the time, space and enough privacy is the embodiment of true luxury. And though time cannot be bought, money can certainly take care of the latter two.

If you plan to spend money to buy space and privacy, I suggest you visit the One Hotel in Angkor. Here you'll find customized service at its best as everything is made according to the one guest in the hotel. Yes, it only has one room (the reason why it's named the "one" hotel), so every guest is sure to be showered with whatever they need.

Apart from all the attention, it's a relief not to have to share your space with other noisy guests. Plus, you won't find those run-of-the-mill rooms in typical hotel chains. The hotel is the opposite of bland, with its clever juxtaposition of eastern and western touches in its design.

Whether or not you're a fan of boutique hotels or have the money to burn, a virtual tour of The One Hotel is still a guaranteed upper.
