Makeovers might be a drama cliche, but they never get old, if the new crop of Asian dramas--Filipino, Korean, Japanese, and Taiwanese--is anything to go by. After all, who doesn't like seeing the downtrodden heroine undergo a breathtaking transformation that boosts her confidence and gets her a few steps closer to achieving her goals?
