Late last year, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, in coordination with World Food Program Ambassador KC Concepcion, began a donation drive in 150 restaurants they have all over the country. Within just two months, the restaurants collected P1,229,909, which have now been donated to WFP's feeding program in Mindanao.

As of WFP's latest assessment mission, 60 percent of Mindanao households have very poor access to food, while 30 percent take life-threatening risks to meet daily food needs.
These donations would provide rice to nearly 187,000 students in 800 schools and hot meals in 277 schools and day care centers serving 16,000 children.
"We have prepared an action plan for more site visits in Mindanao, fund raising activities, and increasing public awareness through the media so that more people will be involved," said KC.
Pizza Hut and Taco Bell will continue accepting donations as WFP continues to reach out to far-flung areas in Mindanao. Check out WFP's website to see how you can help support the campaign for Mindanao.
