The key is in driving more visitors to your site, and you can do this by making it as functional and user-friendly as possible. Entrepreneur.com.ph suggests some tips that could help make your website truly helpful to your customers. Errole Gutierrez, owner of web and graphic design firm 168 Media Interactive, recommends prioritizing function over design. Content, he says, should drive design, and not the other way around. With that in mind, you may want to scrap bandwidth-consuming effects such as flash media if it doesn’t give your customers information they need.
There's no harm in starting small through a basic blog site or social networking accounts, especially if these can help you easily update your site and generate feedback from customers. Gutierrez recommends using sites such as Blogger or Wordpress, which offer user-friendly, ready-to-use platforms; most of them are free of charge, too.
