While we unofficially start the Christmas season
as early as September, we don't really feel its effects until after Halloween. Christmas-themed lamppost decorations
, Christmas songs
, the splash of red and green on everything, and pre-Christmas sales
are just some of the things that herald that season of giving once again. And then there's the traffic
It's just a fact of life. Traffic is everywhere
, but it gets especially congested around Christmastime. Everyone is either hurrying home or going to the mall for gift-hunting or just to unwind. Having a car is bad when one happens to use roads near malls or commercial establishments, but it is hell on the commuter who just wants to get home.
