Which water sport should you try?

Looking for something new to do this summer? Find out which water sport you could try to beat the heat and have fun at the same time! By Tala Dayrit

Family outings and trips with friends are also perfect ways to spend the season. Water sports are at their peak as well, since lots of people are vacationing at the beach and want to try something new and memorable.

But with so many types to choose from, which should you do first? Which would you like? Have no fear; we have a quick quiz that answers those questions! Take it and find out which water sport you should try this summer!

1 .) Your ideal summer vacation would be:
  1. Somewhere nice, cool, and scenic.
  2. Somewhere I can enjoy the great outdoors.
  3. Roughing it out on a mountain for plenty of thrills.
  4. A road trip with friends. No real destination, just pure fun.
2 .) You're the DJ for your road trip. What’s in your music player?
  1. Summer classics like the Beach Boys are always a hit with everyone.
  2. Reggae tracks, both familiar and not-so-familiar.
  3. Something new for that different kick. Dubstep, anyone?
  4. Power ballads. Nothing like belting out that high note with the windows down and your friends going for it too!
3 .) What’s your favorite theme park ride?
  1. The lake rides—so relaxing.
  2. The Ferris wheel—I love being so high up.
  3. The roller coaster, of course!
  4. The flume ride—we get pictures taken and everyone gets wet!
4 .) What’s your usual stress-reliever?
  1. Spending time in my bed—beauty sleep is very important.
  2. Going to the gym
  3. Bike rides—not inside the village, but on a mountain trail, of course!
  4. Going out with my friends
5 .) Summer is usually the season for something new. Any plans to try a new look?
  1. Nope. Just tying my hair up to keep cool.
  2. Maybe I’ll just get a different cut the next time I go for a trim.
  3. It’s so hot so I’ll cut my hair short. It’s got to be something totally different.
  4. I’ll probably ask my friends to vote for my new hair color. This is going to be fun!
6 .) What’s your favorite summer food?
  1. Can’t beat the familiar comfort of halo-halo!
  2. The awesome fruits in season—I love them all.
  3. I know I can have them all year, but definitely fresh seafood eaten kamayan style.
  4. Buko pandan salad, done in a big batch so my friends and I can dig in.
7 .) You’re stuck house-sitting for the weekend. What happens now?
  1. I’ll turn up the air-conditioning, ready the DVDs, and make some snacks.
  2. I’ll do some quick chores then lounge around. It’s rare to for me to have some downtime all to myself.
  3. I’ll blast some rock tunes, roll up my sleeves, and do some summer cleaning.
  4. All alone in the house? This calls for a house party!
8 .) When you’re out drinking, what do you usually order?
  1. Alco-mixes keep me going all night.
  2. A yummy frozen mudslide for sweetness with a nice strong kick
  3. Bring on the shots!
  4. Anything that comes in a pitcher to keep everyone tanked. It’s zombie time!
9 .) What’s your must-have summer accessory?
  1. An umbrella for the sun and for summer showers
  2. Sunscreen—it’s indispensable in the Manila heat.
  3. Sunglasses—I feel cooler just wearing them.
  4. Lip balm to keep my lips from cracking
10 .) If you could go anywhere in the world for a two-week summer vacation, where would you go?
  1. Italy—I’d love to soak up the culture and indulge in yummy food.
  2. The Caribbean—it’s such an exotic yet familiar place because of the beaches.
  3. Egypt—I’d love to explore the pyramids and other ancient sites.
  4. Brazil—it’s the perfect place to party till the sun comes up.
