Japan - We've all stayed in that standard hotel room, which has cream walls, beige curtains, and a horrible painting masquerading as art. While there's nothing wrong with staid rooms in hotel chains, it's always a surprise when a big brand comes up with something out of the box.

It seems like the Hilton flexed its creative muscles to come up with a unique room, but this time, it has nothing to do with luxury. No lap pools inside lavish suites or a butler to call your own; rather, it is a ticket to a different world--a magical one. Hilton Tokyo Bay, an official Disney partner hotel, decided to further their guests' fairytale experience by coming up with their own story and a room to match.
Aptly called "Happy Magic Room," it is a special place where kids and kids-at-heart alike can have a magical experience right on earth. Step outside the elevators and you'll immediately be transported back to childhood. You'll be greeted by a friendly dragon or a unicorn, and a huge tree which holds a surprise in its trunk.
Upon entering the room, you'll be ushered into the story of Little Witch Tiara and the Magic Forest. Here you'll get to know Tiara and hopefully help her find friends from the real world.
And how does this story connect to the consumer? Apart from the design itself, guests can be "part" of the story by using the magic key, checking out the magic mirror window, and rearranging books on the magical bookcase.
How I would love to be 7 again and stay in such a place. Yet even as an adult, this concept easily put a smile on my face.
