If you're into indie and foreign films, you'll love the offers of the Cinemalaya Film Festival and Eiga Sai (Japanese Film Festival) this year. Cinemalaya, which already opened last weekend, offers 10 full-length films and 10 film shorts, while the Eiga Sai presents seven full-length films, including an animated film in its two runs after it ended its week-long showing in Shangri-La Plaza.

Cinemalaya runs until July 20, Sunday at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), while the Eiga Sai will take over CCP from Aug 7 to 10, and then head off to the UP Film Institute on Aug. 11-16. For more information on Cinemalaya, check out the trailers, pictures, and more here. You can also check out Eiga Sai's lineup here.
