Events roundup: Post-Valentine concerts, plays, and ballets

ilyb.jpg* Fall in love and let singing priests tickle your funny bones in "Trying Hard," a post-Valentine benefit concert featuring Fr. Jeff Quintela and Fr. Rock Berdos tomorrow, February 27, at the Siena College Taytay Auditorium. Eat Bulaga's Jose, Wally, and Julia Clarete will also perform at the concert. Proceeds from this concert will go to the construction of the mortuary and rectory of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Mayamot, Antipolo City. For tickets, please call 681-1097.

* Eastwood City turns the spotlight on a choir and two jazz bands at the Philippine International Jazz Festival on February 28 at Eastwood Mall Central Park. Catch the 300-piece group The Black Gospel Choir, the three-piece jazz band Juan Isip with Italian guitarist Udo Guido, and Australian jazz band Logic in this one-night affair. * Ballet Philippines' Neo-Filipino presents Amada, a revival of BP founding artistic director Alice Reyes' classic dance piece, as well as two world premieres of new dances.
