They say children learn to be responsible when left to deal with responsibility on their own. After all, children learn best from first-hand experiences, with the right guidance from adults.
If you want your kids to experience more than their usual summer activities this year, why not sign them up for summer camp? MyCampExplore, a company that hosts summer camps for children ages 8 to 17, now accepts campers for their upcoming Forest and Beach Camps. Not only do these camping programs keep kids busy with fun activities, they also promote awareness, understanding, respect, care, and stewardship of nature.
The Forest Camp is usually held at Mount Purro Nature Camp in Antipolo, home base of MyCampExplore. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, this nature camp is fully equipped with camp facilities and offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Activities include tribe games, team building activities, basic mountaineering courses, hikes, arts and crafts, adventure races, cooking, tribe presentations, environmental activities, campfires, and more. Forest Camp sessions run for four days and three nights.
But if your kids prefer exploring marine ecosystems, you can sign them up for the Beach Camp at the Hontiveros compound in Matuod, Batangas. Beach camp activities include tribe games, hikes, swimming, kayaking, basic snorkeling, adventure races, and more. Though Beach Camp is offered only to campers aged 10 to 18, the program accepts younger campers who have attended Forest Camps.
Now, don't these make summer sound more exciting for kids—and for you as well, as it allows you to take a breather from mommy duties? We only wish this was offered back when we were kids.
You can sign your kids up for Forest Camp for P9,000 or Beach Camp for P10,000. Check out MyCampExplore's website for more information on registration and camp schedules.
