Do an Aggy

Jul 1, 2008 by FN Blogger Kissa Castañeda

kissa_dotheaggy.jpgWant to be healthy, in style and environment-friendly, then I suggest you do an Aggy. By that, I don't mean going OTT on your styling, but by rediscovering the bicycle.

Bikes, probably everybody's bestfriend as a pre-teen, is now the cool mode of transportation. The allegedly "overexposed" British supermodel Agyness Deyn is credited for resurrecting it when she was spotted and subsequently photographed cycling to New York fashion week last December 2007.

In Japan, magazines featuring stylishly clad cyclers abound. Here, bikes are perennially cool and your choice of bike is another way to express yourself. I personally like the practical bikes from German Riese und Muller (they're known for their portable Birdy line) and adore the modern style of Muji.

While it may not be ideal to do it in the Philippines (as it's scorching hot), do consider it as a way to get around when exploring cities abroad. Trust me, it's much better than the subway.

I'd love to do this if I had the chance. Biking in Europe sounds so romantic! :D
