Travelers' Tales: London's Sights and Sounds

FN's staff writer shares her experiences in the Big Smoke--from visits to the Tower of London and Convent Garden to the changing of the guard. By Jennifer Chan

If you ever get the chance to visit London, make sure you savor every minute of it. It's a beautiful and vibrant city. My mom and I returned from the British capital city a few weeks back, and London's sights and sounds are still fresh in my mind.

I can’t help but miss walking along Kensington High Street, eating meat pies and fish and chips, and hearing everyone with their distinct British accents. I even miss London’s infamous weather, which has people drenched in rain one minute, squinting in the sunlight the next, and then, without warning, getting rained on again.

But the city’s unpredictable weather aside, there is a lot of fun to be had in London. I only spent a week there, but seven days is enough for me or anyone else to feel like they never want to leave. To see just what I got up to in London, scroll through the gallery. Plus, I've added a few tips that may come in handy when you decide to go there too.
