Aside from looking dreadfully uninspiring, those black generic laptop bags that usually come free with every purchase of a notebook computer scream, "Hey, look! I'm lugging an expensive piece of electronics equipment!" And unless you drive to and from work everyday, that doesn't sound too safe.
