Street artist turns retro Macs into art

Jul 11, 2008 by FN's Chrissy Icamina

mac_main.jpgAustralia-based street artist Satta van Daal is turning tech trash into art!

The German graphic designer and freelance artist paints and stencils images on vintage Apple computers. And if you happen to be in the Melbourne area mulling over how to dispose your old Macs, he'd be happy to collect them to turn them into the coolest looking gadgets ever to have been labeled obsolete.

He plans to exhibit his creations in an "iPaint myMac" expo by the end of the year. We wonder if he'd end up stenciling old iPods, too.

Check out Satta's art in his personal website. View more photos of his Mac art on the next page.
